1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Olo Player. We value your privacy and are committed to being completely transparent about how your data is handled. We do not hide any details from our users. This Privacy Policy explains what information we access, why we need it, and how it is used.

2. INFORMATION WE ACCESS AND COLLECT

Olo Player is primarily a local media player. To function properly and provide a seamless experience, the app requires certain device permissions and collects minimal usage data:

A. Local Storage and Media Files

The app requires access to your device storage to scan, display, and play your local videos and media files. This media data remains entirely on your device and is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted to our servers.

B. Network and Wi-Fi Access

To support features like Chromecast, Network Streams, and Nearby File Sharing (Transfer Room), the app requires network access. This is used strictly for local network communication between your devices and standard internet requests.

C. Camera Permission

The camera permission is used exclusively for scanning QR codes during the device pairing process in the Transfer Room feature. We do not record, upload, or store any camera footage.

D. App Usage and Crash Reports

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app performance and improve user experience. These services collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage data (such as which features are used) and crash reports (to help us fix bugs). This data does not contain any personal information like your name, email, or exact location.

3. PRIVATE FOLDER FEATURE

Any media you secure inside the Private Folder remains hidden and protected locally on your specific device. We do not have access to your private files, security questions, or PINs. Because this data is never uploaded to our servers, we cannot recover these files for you if you lose your device or uninstall the app.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to analyze app performance. The primary third-party services used by Olo Player include:

- Google Play Services

- Google Analytics for Firebase

- Firebase Crashlytics

5. DATA SECURITY

We value your trust in our app. Since Olo Player operates primarily offline for your local media, your personal files are as secure as your device itself. For the anonymous crash logs transmitted over the internet, we use commercially acceptable security protocols provided by Google Firebase.

6. CHILDREN PRIVACY

Olo Player does not contain inappropriate content and is safe for general audiences. However, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
